Causes of pimples / acne (in NMG logic – a feeling of being dirty):
* if you touch your face with dirty hands (from the bus or after cleaning something) and feel “ugh”
* if you sweat while wearing makeup and feel like “the dirt is melting down”
* if you work out, sweat, and perceive the sweat as something dirty or smelly
* if you pop a pimple and feel disgusted by what comes out
* if dusty wind sticks to your sweaty face
* if you wipe yourself with a towel that smells bad or feels dirty
* if your child touches your face, chest, or mouth with dirty hands
* if toilet water splashes onto your legs or intimate area
* if you touch something sticky or dirty and can’t wash immediately
* if you perceive your sweat as “dirty”
* if you stay too long in sweaty clothes
* if someone accidentally spits while talking to you
* if you feel like your skin is “not clean”
* if you work in dust, grease, or smoke and feel contaminated
* if breast milk leaks onto your skin and creates discomfort
* if your baby vomits on you and you stay like that for a while
* if you have sexual contact and afterward feel “dirty”
* if you walk barefoot in places considered dirty
* if you touch trash, diapers, feces, and keep feeling it on your skin
* if you notice a body odor and feel shame about it
* if someone tells you — or you tell yourself — that you look “dirty,” “greasy,” or “oily”
* if you look in the mirror and reject what you see on your skin
* if you feel like your skin is being attacked by bacteria or parasites
* if you use products that irritate your skin and feel like they are “damaging” it
* if you stay in dirty water, suspicious pools, or mud and feel repulsed
* if you feel like there is something on your skin that does not belong there
* if an animal licks you and it deeply bothers you
* if someone invades your physical space and you feel “contaminated”
* if blood, pus, or secretions touch your skin and trigger disgust
* if you touched something you perceive as toxic, infected, or contaminated
and pimples often appear during the healing phase.
In NMG, the skin often reacts to:
* a dirtying conflict, like the examples listed above
* a skin attack conflict (diaper rash, cold water on the lower back or bottom from a bidet — I’ll list more examples in another article)
* a separation/contact conflict (most often from the mother if it’s a child, or for example, rashes on a mother’s hands from dirty dishes — I’ll list more examples in another article)
