The problem nowadays is that we have food everywhere and it’s so good that it’s hard to not try everything. The brain is still primed to consume and look for high energy foods that assure its survival, not mentioning here the addiction on sugar.
Your body has two ways of burning energy. One is from food consumed directly and the other one that we never get to use, is from stored fat.
Beliefs surrounding food are so imprinted in our minds that it’s hard to ever consider that fasting may actually have tremendous health benefits.
